The director says , “The story is about relationships”.

“We are showing the best of the joint family system and how it cares for relationships. There are several women and nobody in instructive costumes. Neither Cheran nor Sneha have 'sung' songs since the script does not permit it. Both accepted the situation while taking on the assignment”, he expands.

Dhanush injured during filming

Dhanush sustained injuries in his face at the shooting of Polladhavan in Chennai. The actor was shooting for a stunt sequence with Daniel Balaji. A sharp knife in the hands of Daniel Balaji accidentally fell on Dhanush's forehand and he sustained bleeding injuries.

A bleeding Dhanush was rushed to a nearby private hospital and was given first aid. Later he underwent a medical check up and the doctors advised him complete rest.

Polladhavan stars Dhanush and Divya in the lead roles. The shooting for the movie directed by Vetrimaran is currently in progress.

Dhanush will resume shooting after a couple of days rest.

Simbhu refuses to change his movie title 

Simbhu has firmly denied changing the title of his undergoing film Kettavan.

According to reports, the Tamil Film Producers council had approached the actor urging him to change the title of the movie which is under production stating that it was scornful. However Simbu insisted that there is nothing wrong with the title.

Simbu has offered the explanation that Kettavan means one who has been spoilt because of a woman, and so did not criticize anyone in particular. So the film will retain its original title. Likewise producer cum director Sakthi Chidambaram has also reportedly refused to change the title of his movie Porukki. According to him, Porukki means one who picks out the ills of society.

Bala’s “Kadavul” will be on theaters by Deepavali?

Director Bala is busy with his working tirelessly to get completed his prolonged movie ‘Naan Kadavul’ starring Arya and Karthiga. He planned to release it for Deepavali.

After much delay, Bala recommenced shooting for the film at interior areas of southern Tamilnadu. The movie is shaping up fast. The second schedule is now shot in Periyakulam and Kumbakarai.

Karthiga has replaced Bhavana in Naan Kadavul. She plays the role of a blind beggar.

Vijay turns into Dr.Vijay

The M.G.R University has given away the Doctorate for both actor Vijay and director Shankar. Usually, he who concludes his speech in one or two words, astonished everyone by speaking about India and how it is going to become a democratic country.

With overwhelmed happiness I am standing in this stage. For this, mainly the first reason is my father . Next is my directors, producers, distributors, theatre owners and above all is my fans especially, he said. I am really proud to get the degree of doctorate from this University which exists by the name M.G.R, who is a great person who used to give charity and do lots of help for the people. He became little emotional and told that, I will assume that this degree of doctorate was given by M.G.R itself!

Dr. Shankar not only thanked those who gave him the doctorate, but even gave his heartly thanks giving to K.T.Kunjumon who gave him the first movie oppurtunity. When i was studying in school my dream was to do B.E in Anna university and also to study my M.E over there itself. But, unfortunately I did not get the seat over there. So i did my Diploma in polytechnic and got my degree. I learned what life is all about and now got my doctorate, said director Shankar.

Vijay and Vidhya Balan pair together?

They invited the fame Hindi actress Vidhya Balan to act for the new movie which Vijay and Dharani are combining together. It is known fact that actress Vidhya Balan will not feel bitter to pair and act with actor Vijay. The other thing is, the same Tamil cine world only has chased her and told that she is not fit enough to act in the cinema.

They have first selected Vidhya Balan only to pair with actor Srikanth as a heroine in the movie Manasellam. In two days after the shooting was started they suddenly called her and told her that the shooting will take few days to start again, till then you go to your home and stay for few days and come back, they told this and sent her back. After all, they also did not settle the bills in Hotel Adithya where she was residing at the time of shooting. At last Vidhya only settled all the bills from her own pocket money and went back to Mumbai. Once she left from there, immediately they made Trisha as the heroine for that movie and started the shooting also. Vidhya who heard this news, didn't even ask the reason for that.

There in bollywood, the first movie in which Vidhya Balan got introduced as a heroine was itself a super hit. Since there are lots of oppurtunities over there in her hands, the same tamil cineworld which chased her is now waiting for Vidhya Balan to come back and wondering whether she will come or not. It seems she asked for One crore rupees as her salary, when she was asked to act in this movie which is coming soon in actor Vijay and director Dharani's combination. They are also ready to give that amount. But they are asking her to give the call sheet at any cost.

Still Vidhya Balan is in a dilemma and going on.....thinking about this. If she says NO, there is one more actress who is eager and ready to get that sheet somehow and who is also doing all sort of tricks for that is none other than actress Trisha!

Yuvan’s divorce

The unexpected information of Yuvan Shankar Raja’s divorce with his wife has taken many people aback. What is even more shocking is the reasons behind the divorce. The couple is said to have part ways in effect over a year back. Despite sleeping under the same roof, they have been living separate lives. Young Musicians rocking at Kodambakkam

It seems like a high time for young musicians in Kodambakkam as music directors below 20 years are rocking with their melodies. With Dharan and G V Prakash aged 19, they are on the full swing. G V Prakash made his debut with the film Veyil, followed by Ajith starrer Kireedom and upcoming Arya’s Oram Po. Both Veyil and Kireedom have done well at audio markets and background score was extraordinary.

Well speaking about Dharan, he made his debut with the film yesteryear Paarijaatham and has recently tuned in melody for the film Sivi. Melodies tuned in by Dharan for Sivi have come out well and he himself has sung for two songs. Those who listened to the songs for this film have appreciated this youngster’s talent. With the film consisting of young actors, the shooting will soon be completed and hit the screens. We have to wait and see how far his creative talent works is for background scoring and then judge his work…
